Quiz Instructions
As you know from experience, the routine of calls can grow complacency and cause all of us to miss certain facts and indicators of perhaps something more serious.
You also know that communicating effectively with victims and witnesses can make or break an investigation. The language you and your co-workers use at a crime scene is critical and must always remain respectful and professional.
For this activity, we will walk through a typical law enforcement scenario involving an assault investigation. Each question will present you with additional facts and details. Read the scenario below and then begin.
Consider the totality of the circumstances and all that you have learned so far. Respond to each question describing what you would do. At the end of the activity, review your answers and the feedback provided for each. You will earn 5 points for completing this activity.
Scenario:
You are called to medical emergency involving a woman, down in front of a popular gay bar downtown. You arrive and see paramedics hard at work trying to revive an unconscious woman who appears to be very tall and muscular and with what appears to be severe head wounds.
