Instructions for the FIELD TRIP WARM-UP LAB ASSIGNMENT
This assignment is designed to help you prepare for the field trip and the work you'll be doing there. The more effort you put into it, the better you'll be able to master the lab skills and material. It should take you 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. **Note the increased time commitment, but the field trip itself will be only 2 hrs.
- Review the lab handout that you received from your instructor during the last class. The first few pages of the lab are the WARM-UP homework assignment. Complete your answers on your handout. Make any notes you'd like. You will not turn it in, but you will use it to transcribe answers into this CANVAS assignment, AND and you will need to bring it with you to the lab.
- Open the PDF: Field Trip: Earth Systems and Field Skills Lab so you can access all the hyperlinks that you'll need to complete this assignment.
This assignment is not timed, so you can take as long as you need. You can start and take time away and come back later to submit. It will not automatically submit when you close the page.
You may complete this assignment twice. After the first time you complete it, you will be able to review your score and which you got wrong. Your final grade for this assignment comes from the AVERAGE score from your two attempts, so be sure you put your best effort into your first attempt.
The answers to this assignment will be automatically released at 6 am the morning after the deadline. Please review those results before you come to lab, so you can ask any questions you have. (That is also the reason that no late assignments are accepted.)
