Course Information

In this class you will learn the artistic expression of drawing clothing on figures in the 10 head fashion proportions as well as the technical expression of drawing clothing flat for production in 8 head proportions. We will be starting off with gesture drawings in pencil and progress to finished work in color. I believe that everyone can draw and have seen beginners and advanced artists make remarkable progress in this class. I have a live drawing demonstration on paper each week and there is the option to draw digitally.

Important Dates

Please make sure to attend the first meetings as we go over supplies and have our first live demonstrations. This class will be a hybrid and meet in person once a month while the rest of my meetings with you will be on Zoom. There is a link below to the Academic Calendar that says important dates and that will give you the start and finish of the semester.

Course Communication

Our course will meet in person once a month on Campus and we will be drawing together live! For all of the other weeks we will have a live Zoom class at the same scheduled time. I have many ways of interacting with all of you online and prefer the Inbox in the far left navigation bar. You can also reach me by email at my CCSF Email Address and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I am a part time instructor and am not available 7 days a week as I work in other areas of the fashion industry. I will send out a weekly announcement about our class, I will participate the Discussion each week and I will be giving feedback on any homework you turn in through Assignments.

Add/Drop Policy

If you do not engage in the first week of class and complete the first module by the due dates, or subsequently if you have not completed/submitted any work for more than one week, without communicating in advance with the course facilitator(s), you may be dropped from the course. Please let me know you are in the class by participating!

Please be aware that the Free City Program is only free if you pass the class. You can take it for a pass/no pass option if you do not need the grades. Free City also states the class must be dropped within a certain date for a full refund. Please consult the Academic Calendar on the school website for all important dates.

Late Work Policy

It is in your best artistic interest to illustrate along with me every week as your are developing muscle memory between your hand and mind. In each Module there is an assignment with a due date yet I leave the Modules open in the event the work is turned in late. Each week the work is late it will lose 10% of the points you would have received, so get all of the points you deserve while learning this beautiful information.
