Introduction

This project requires that you participate in at least three face-to-face interviews with members of the culture you are researching. These interviews can be with people you know including family members. You can participate in these interviews individually, together with members, of your group, or any combination of alone or together. In all cases, each individual must document having been present for at least three face-to-face interviews. Watch this video to get you started thinking about how to plan for these interviews.

Of course you can interview more than three people and any additional interviews can be completed on the phone or online.

You are also required to participate in some type of immersion activity related to your culture. This could include attending a cultural event or gathering, visiting a cultural neighborhood, center, or museum, or dining at a culture based restaurant. You can also volunteer at an activity related to your culture. There are few limitations, but if you are unsure if what you have planned meets the requirements, talk to your instructor.
