Overview - Revenue Cycle

In this module, we are going to explore the preparation for and the duties of a specialist in Revenue Cycle. The advent of the electronic health record has made many changes to how we do business as HIM professionals. With these changes came the concept of a remote workforce. Working remotely became more than just a benefit but is now routine in most organizations. With a remote workforce, talent can be recruited from a variety of geographic areas and the facility can economize on the expenses associated with a face-to-face operation. No where is this more the norm than in revenue cycle.

For managers of , the challenges of monitoring, educating and coordinating large groups of remote employees are many. Complex relationships with a remote workforce and vendors add to a manager's day-to-day work making strong supervisors and delegation even more important than before.
