Projects are delivered and submitted Capture the Flag (CTF) format. See the CTF! Module for details.

Grading

The number of points you accumulate during the semester determines your final grade.

You can earn points in the following areas:

CTF Problems 300 points (minimum)
11 Quizzes 220 points
15 Discussions 150 points
Final 80 points
Total: 750 points

You can also earn extra credit points in a variety of ways. Points earned in excess of 300 via the CTF scoreboard are applied as extra credit on a 1:1 basis.

Your final letter grade is determined from your total points as shown below:

% Grade

90% or more A

80% - 89.99% B

60% - 79.99% C

50% - 59.99% D

49.99% or less F

This course allows "Pass/No Pass" grading, if that option is requested before the deadline

Office hours are by appointment. Inbox me to set up a time.

There are no set class meetings after the first three weeks. If there is going to be a meeting, demo, or guest speaker, I will send out a message beforehand, and record these sessions whenever possible so that you may view them later if you aren't able to participate live.
