United States History 3

Course Description

This course will explore the major events and cultural trends that shaped the United States from the Great Depression of the 1930s up through the anti-war movement of the 1960s. Throughout the course we will strive to connect our nation's past to its present through discussion of current events. Our learning process includes annotating textbook readings, watching videos, participating in written and video discussions, and completing written assessments which seek to answer open-ended and enduring historical questions.

Virtual Class Meetings

We will have virtual class meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM - 12 PM to preview new lessons, engage in Q and A and practice collaborative learning.

There are several ways to join our meeting: 1) Click on the CityZoom link on the left hand menu and hit "join" on the current day; 2) Locate the meeting in the "To Do" list on your dashboard; 3) Join through the Canvas calendar.
