Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs): To achieve "P" you must achieve the following outcomes:

In this class, you will learn:

●     To listen to simple English conversations

●     To speak in basic English conversations

●     To read simple English stories, instructions, and information.

●     To write personal information, simple letters, and information.

 

●     Demonstrate a good understanding of commonly used spoken words, phrases, simple learned expressions and questions in familiar contexts.

●     Employ simple learned phrases and sentences to engage in limited social situations using familiar basic conversations.

●     Recognize and read numbers, letters and sub-parts of familiar words.

●     Construct limited meaning from simplified reading materials on familiar topics.

●     Demonstrate ability to write basic personal information, lists and simple messages

●     Use Beginning Level 2 language structures and forms.

 

Rules:

  1. Silence cell phones during our Zoom meetings.
  2. Mute if it’s noisy at your home.

Requisites: Recommended Preparation, ESLN 3100 or placement in ESLN 3200

Grades: 

  • Go to “Grades” in Canvas to see your grade.
  • If you are concerned about your participation grade on Zoom, send your teacher a Canvas Inbox message. 
  •  How do I view my grades, teacher comments, and an assignment rubric as a student?
  • Grades will be assigned as follows: 
    • 50% of your grade= Participation on Zoom. 
    • 50% of your grade= Discussions, Quizzes and Assignments on Canvas 
      • I will make comments on all graded assignments.
