Learning Activity

Purpose

The purpose of this learning activity is to see how much you know about LGBTQ+ history with law enforcement.

Quiz Instructions

Much of LGBTQ+ history has been left out of history books. Of course, LGBTQ+ people have been part of the history in every culture. There are historical events involving LGBTQ+ people from every country and continent. It's important for law enforcement professionals to understand this history, because, like so many other minority group struggles for civil rights, law enforcement has been involved in the battle (literally in some cases).

Like most histories, there are many mythologies about the people and events that are part of LGBTQ+ history. This activity will give you a chance to see how much you know about some of the most significant historical events that have impacted the LGBTQ+ community. Each event will offer four statements and your job is to identify which ones are truths and which one is a lie.
